Survey Results
Where do we stand one year after the postponement?
Between March and April 2021 we conducted our new EU MDR survey. The aim was to analyze the state of EU MDR implementation one year after the delay and a few weeks before the new validity date. 115 companies from all over Europe took part in the survey, 74% of them from German-speaking countries and 81% medical device manufacturers. All risk classes were represented.
Some of the results in the analysis were compared with last year's results, and some new questions were also added. The survey addressed the following areas:
- Barriers to MDR compliance and costs for companies
- Postponement of the EU MDR and status of Notified Bodies
- Clinical data capture
- A look at the future
